For many years LEAP classes were offered at the Leisurelife Centre, in East Victoria Park. More recently the incursion days have also been based there. However, the facility recently advised that one of our regular rooms would no longer be available after 1 July. One of the other rooms is also scheduled for renovation. This impacts on our ability to offer the incursion days at that venue. We’ve also felt for a while that LEAP has outgrown that facility, we’d like to expand on what we offer, and have a place to call our ‘own’.
New Location for LEAP
Our application with the City of Cockburn was approved! From the July incursion date (27 July), all LEAP incursion days will be held at the Yangebup Community Centre, 20 Swallow Drive, Yangebup.
LEAP Costs and Member Discounts
To allow for the increased venue hire (because we’ll hire the whole facitily for the day) and adequately cover the providers and other costs, The fees for the incursions will increase slightly to $15/pp for some incursions or $20/pp for the ones with greater provider costs (with HEWA discounts these costs would be $12/pp and $16/pp).
Within the Yangebup Community Centre we will hire the main hall and lesser hall, which will be used for the incursions.
