HEWA (Home Education WA) has been advocating for the home education community in Western Australia for over 35 years. As WA’s peak body for home-educating families, a key part of our role is maintaining an open and constructive relationship with the Department of Education.
We meet regularly with senior Department of Education staff from the Operational Initiatives (OI) team to raise concerns from the community, share information, and work toward outcomes that support home-educating families across WA. Where possible, we publish minutes from these meetings so our community stays informed.
