HEWA’s Teen Ball 2023

Description

HEWA’s 2023 Teen Ball

Home Education WA “HEWA” is proud to host this special event for home educated-teens.

The Teen Ball aims to give students a fun opportunity to attend an event that is often much anticipated in the typical school student’s diary.

We want all young people who attend, to have a safe, fun, and memorable event.

As this is a teen-only event, it will be chaperoned by several HEWA committee members and volunteers.

Guidelines

We have kept the guidelines simple. They are in place to ensure that all young people have a fun, safe and enjoyable evening. Please read these out to all young people you are booking a ticket for (including plus one’s).

By purchasing a ticket, you and the young person agree to these guidelines:

1. The Home Education WA (HEWA) Teen Ball is a teen-only event:
I agree that I am at least 13 years of age, and no more than 19 years of age on the day of the event (Saturday 4th of November 2023). I agree that any ‘plus one’ I bring is also at least 13 and no older than 19. I agree the date of birth stated on the booking form for each attendee is true and correct.

2. The Home Education WA (HEWA) Teen Ball is a smoke, drug, and alcohol-free event:
I agree that I will not engage in these activities whilst at the event. If I exhibit signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, I will be required to leave the event.

3. The Home Education WA (HEWA) Teen Ball will be supervised by committee members and volunteers, who each have a Working with Children card:
I understand that it is my responsibility to always remain on the premises until I am collected by a parent/guardian at the end of the evening. I understand that a parent or guardian must sign me in and out of this event.

4. The Home Education WA (HEWA) Teen Ball should be a safe, and inclusive space where all attending can have fun:

I understand that I should treat everyone attending with kindness and respect, and bring any problematic behaviour (i.e., bullying or harassment) to the attention of a HEWA adult volunteer if I see it occurring.

5. The Home Education WA (HEWA) Teen Ball will have a photo booth present to allow everyone to capture all the fun. You are also welcome to take photos of yourself and your friends:

I understand that I need to be mindful that not everyone wants to have their photo taken and especially may not agree to have this distributed on social media. I agree to seek the consent of others before taking their photo and/or sharing on social media.
